Context menus not closing when losing focus

I have a ContextMenu that I make appear when the user right clicks. How do I make the menu disappear when the user moves the mouse cursor off the menu. I thought autoHide might do the trick but no such luck.

Java 1.7.0_09-b05, OS X 10.7.5
