Content Server UCM 11.1.1.6

user1254328Mar 18 2012 — edited Mar 20 2012
Anyways, I activated the folder_g in UCM 11.1.1.6 and now able to see the Contribution Folder in Jdev content repository connection as well as able to see the my created folder and file in Services ----> Content Tab I click Administration link of my application.

When I ADD Content Presenter and then ADD a text file from UCM to this CP ---- it displays text file content correctly.

But when I try to ADD .html file that is present in UCM to Content Presenter and try View this page, it display following error ............ why this error only for html page within Content Presenter ???

Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.4.5 404 Not Found

The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.

Last question : I hear that with UCM 11.1.1.6 onwards, they say do not use folder_g So what is the folder we should use instead ??? and how to enable this folder ??

Also, in my UCM 11.1.1.6 console it shows following information at the top. what do i do ???

This Oracle WebCenter Content instance has both Folders_g and FrameworkFolders enabled. Having both enabled is not a supported configuration and some features will not work correctly, including webdav access. One of these components should be disabled for production use. FrameworkFolders replaces Folders_g and is therefore the preferred foldering solution as of 2011.

Also, I am --------- 11.1.1.6 if I disable folder_g and just keep FrameworkFolders enabled, the I am JUST not able to see the folders and files in my Jdev connection as well as via portal. so what is going on ? pl help
