considering xdoclet + struts

i am considering using xdoclet to generate my beans and whatever else i may find it useful for.

looking at the xdoclet site it looks like development has been dead since 05. is xdoclet still a good idea? does anyone know if development is really dead?

does anyone have any comments? perhaps better alternatives that exists in 07?
