Connector Server Windows Service

2807784Feb 13 2015 — edited Feb 14 2015

I am installing the Active Directory User mgmt. Connector in the Connector Server.  Specifically, I am looking at the OIM documentation entitled "Connector Guide for Microsoft Active Directory User Management."  I'm in 2.2.2 for Installing the Connector in the Connector Server.  Our Connector Server is currently running on a Windows Server 2008R2 VM.  I stopped the connector server service and copied the contents of the ActiveDirectory.Connector-1.1.0.6380.zip file to the CONNECTOR_SERVER_HOME directory which I assume, in Windows, is C:\Program Files(x86)\Identity Connectors\Connector Server.  The extracted files are placed there and I attempt to restart the Connector Server service and I receive the message that "The Connector Server service on Local Computer started and then stopped.  Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs."  The service remains in a stopped state after I receive this message.  I have rebooted the VM OS, I have tried with the original connector server config file and a modified config file for AD logging, and I have attempted this with a domain admin account as well as a domain account.  I have received the same results.

The only information that I have found on this service error indicates an issue with code or possibly non-existing drive paths for something.  There is nothing in the Windows Event viewer to indicate what the issue is.  Has anyone seen this issue before?

Thanks.
