Connection to URI on Port 9443 fails with proxy

131252Feb 17 2006 — edited Feb 24 2006
All,
I have a HTTP server running in DMZ acting as a proxy for a B2B server running behind the internal firewall. All connections to remote host is working successfully on std ports 443, a connection to remote host on port 9443 fails wih proxy connection 403 forbidden error.
Question is Do I need anything special in 10g HTTP/B2B server to configure that can talk to outside world on a non standard port. Also the firewall rules are setup in DMZ to allow 9443 outbound traffic and a telnet on port 9443 to outside remote host from HTTP server is successfull. The remote host is not seing any activity in thier tcp dump. Any ideas from AS/Nw gurus on this issue is greatly appreciated.
The environment used is RHEL AS 3.0, any ideas if Linux is interfeering with port 9443 ?

Thanks,
PT
