"Connection must be open for this operation"
605460Oct 29 2007 — edited Nov 13 2007I saw other threads with this problem, unfortunately their resolutions did not work for my situation.
I am trying to access Oracle from VB.Net through ODP. This very same executable works on 2 machines but 4 other machines give me the error message above. All 6 have what seems to be the same ODP install that was performed at different periods of time. Environment variables, Registry, paths and TNSNames.ora are all identical. All DLLs are of the same version, are being loaded from the same place and none are from System32. At this point I’ve spent days chasing this problem.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
