Connecting to Oracle 8.1.7.4 using IBM-SPSS Modeler 14.1

Hi all,

I'm hoping somebody might have come across this issue before. I'm trying to connect to Oracle 8.1.7.4 using IBM-SPSS Modeler 14.1

Initially the driver I used to set up the ODBC connection was IBM SPSS OEM 6.1 Oracle Wire Protocol. While it's not officially supported I was able to access the database, but without receiving pushback. I then looked to see what version of Modeler/Clementine had a data access pack with a driver that supported Oracle 8.i. I found from Clementine 6, that Data Access Pack 1.1 included driver SPSS OEM 3.6 that supports Oracle 7.i and 8.i.

However the server I want to install the driver to is 64 bit, and I can't lay my hands on a 64 bit driver. I attempted an install of the 32 bit driver and received the attached "Unsupported 16-Bit Application" error. Is there anywhere that I might be able to get my hands on this driver ?

There are two issues:

1) Is there a 64 bit version of this driver that I can download ?
2) If I can install the driver and set up an ODBC connection should I see pushback ?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
