Connecting Oracle Form 6i to Microsft Access

545547Nov 13 2006 — edited Mar 17 2007
I have just installed & started exploring Oracle Forms 6i. But with my present scenario, I don't have the Oracle database but instead I want to use Microsoft Access as the back end. I understand OCA i.e. Oracle Open Client Adapter helps in connecting the development tool to the ODBC databases which includes Access also. So far so good.

I have Microsoft XP Pro (Service Pack 2) as my OS. I created a connection string using ODBC administrator(File DSN) , so now I have a File Alias(Connection String), User Id & Password.
I believe the OCA package is installed with Forms 6i or do I have to install it separately. I am not so sure.

When I enter the user id, password, and the connection string as ODBC:XXXX via SQL Plus to establish connection it is giving me error message "Interface not found".

How can I solve the problem.
