connecting ms wrod with database to send the data from ms word to database

hi friends!!

I would like to know weather can we send data from word document to data base.can we develope any such editor in java which will directly send the data from it to database.

here i mean to say is that i have to deal with many biodatas (resumes) which the candidates send in a word document so i want to know that can i send the contents of all the biodata to the data base so that the data can be handeled properly.plz if any body knows any solution plz let me know at the earliest.
