Connect MS Exchange(Calendar) with JAVA API

I've been looking around for free JAVA API connector that can connect to ms exchange (Calendar & Task) and retrieve/write data from it.
After days of research, I've found that there are couple of tools that provide API for this such as J-integra, compoze, com to java bridge (alphaworks, ez jcom) which requires $$$. I'm stuck right now cause until now I'm still not able to find a free solution for this. I'm wondering if there is any opensource tools for this? I dun mind tough configuration or probably need some programming.
Any help?
