Connect apex.oracle.com workspace schema using a developer tool

Hi Apex Team,

I have seen many threads asking whether workspace schema's in apex.oracle.com can be accessed using a developer tools, such as toad or pl/sql developer.

The answer was a clear NO.

I was wondering if anybody care to share why so?

Granted, Apex team did a job well done in the new APEX 4 SQL workshop. However, I guess, one would still be happier to be able to connect to the schema using their favorite tools.

I really like to see an answer other than "NO YOU CAN'T DO THAT"
