Configure java.awt.print.PrinterJob withought printDialog() ?

Hello!

I need to print from an applet/servlet solution to printers defined on the server where the servlet runs.
Is there a way to select the printer which should be used, etc., via java withought invoking a printDialog?
Can this done X-Platform - I need it for AIX/IBM-1.3.1 for example.
