Configuration for the laptop to practice oracle High availability

HI Guys,
Please excuse me if this post is not relevant in this community.

I wanted to purchase a laptop which i can configure 3 node rac ( 1 node for storage, so 2 node rac ), can I go for apple laptop or should I go for the Lenovo Thinkpad with 8GB ram and i5 processor, please advice.

if laptop will not be good please provide me configuration for desktop.

This I need to practice the 11g rac, dataguard, streams and datamodelling on these technologies.

all the above will be configured with vmware only. nothing will be installed in host OS.
