Conditionally Auto Populate a field on an OAF page through Personalization

Hi,
I am new to JDeveloper. Can someone tell me how to conditionally populate a field depending on the prevoius field in an OAF page using personalization.
The page I want to do this operation is a SIT created with value sets attached to it.This SIT is being called from a seeded Hierarchy page through Actions link. There is no coding part in this page, it is just customization.
