Conditional Trigger of CNP Event from Severance Process

Abhisek Sahoo-OracleApr 22 2025 — edited May 9 2025

Hi,

For one of the customers, there is a requirement in C2M that - For a severance process, the CNP order should not get automatically triggered for certain scenarios. Instead, the CNP should get triggered only after approval based on some validations. For the scenarios where there is no Approval needed, the accounts should follow as is severance process.

This introduces a conditional trigger of the CNP order within the severance process. Is there a conditional trigger functionality available with the severance process in C2M? There is a dependency feature available, where an event gets triggered based on a prior event. Tried to leverage this approach but this would require moving the Severance Event Status to Pending from Complete so as this severance event does not Complete and there by the CNP event is not triggered.

The questions are -

  1. Is it possible to move the status of the severance event from Complete to Pending when it gets Completed?
  2. When a severance event gets processed, what happens first - Does the Status move to Complete and then the associated Algorithm with the event gets triggered? OR is it the other way around?
  3. What are other possible ways to implement a Conditional Severance Event within the Severance process template?
