As a GC that regularly utilizes compliance items, it would be very helpful to have the ability to upload compliance documents when setting up requirements, so that each item includes a hyperlink. This would allow subcontractors to directly access the necessary form or template when they realize they’re non-compliant, rather than having to locate it off-system.
While subcontractors would still need to complete and manually upload the form, providing a linked document within Textura would significantly reduce the number of requests we receive from subs asking for copies. It would also speed up how quickly we receive these documents and help subs achieve compliance faster.
Our team uses Textura on all projects (hundreds), and nearly all require some form of compliance documentation. I envision this feature as an additional column in the “Set Up Document Requirements” screen, allowing users with the CM role to upload a file that would then display as a hyperlink on the subcontractor’s end within the compliance item.
In my seven years using Textura, this has consistently been a pain point. Adding this functionality would make compliance management more efficient and reduce unnecessary back-and-forth between GCs and subcontractors.
