Why did Oracle make the Application Server so difficult, so complex, so much so intricate... to install. I could never get it installed smoothly. There is always some kind of error or failure message accompanied with.

Could the AS development team make some decent effort to make the installation (at the least) as easy as the installation of the Oracle Database?

While the whole world is trying to make the middle-tier server as easy as abc, why Oracle goes the opposite? Just reading through and understanding the tons of installation instructions is like taking a quarter-worth-class.
