Compiling j2sdk

Hi, I have encountered the following Microsoft Visual C++ error when using it to compile the J2sdk,

C:/j2sdk-1_4_2/j2sdk-1_4_2-src-scsl/hotspot\build\windows\.\vm\release\Makefile(
16) : fatal error U1052: file '../generated/Dependencies' not found

Has anyone encountered this before. Any help much appreciated.
