Compatibility between Forms/Reports 6i and Oracle Database Express

Hello,

I am having a legacy application developed with Forms/Reports 6i, I want database back end to be Oracle Database Express Edition.
While trying to connect from Forms 6i to Oracle Database express, Forms 6i simply terminates without giving any error message. I am held up due to this. Can anybody suggest a solution
