Compaq netelligent NIC

I change my NIC to compaq netelligent PCI ,10/100 with TX. The Device configuration Assistant recognized the Card. However, I am unable to connect to the network. My network set up so that my computer would get an IP address from a DHCP. How can I get the NIC interface to work?
