Communication via PCIexpress

Hi at all,

I'm looking for some examples which implement a PCIexpress communication in Java. Unfortantly I found nothing.
I need to implement a high speed communication between a java application and a PCIexpress device (FPGA).

Is it possible to get a direct access to the pcie device in Java? Or it is necessary to use JNI?
It would be useful if someone knows a reference implemention because i can not imagine that i'm the first human on earth who needs such an implemention ;-)
