Commit in trigger with AUTONOMOUS transaction

996283Aug 24 2015 — edited Aug 24 2015

Hi All,

My question is regarding trigger. say if we have a before insert trigger written on employee table which is committing its transaction with autonomous transaction, so if our insert statement on employee fails, will the trigger be executed since it is before trigger.

Practically i checked and found it is not getting triggered. please clarify my understanding on triggering a trigger.

Thanks,

Vipin Kumar Rai
