I work as DBA in an IT Operations organisation and i would really like to have the option to add comments on indexes.
This would enable me to quickly see what change request or incident that was the base for the creation of the index.
Yes i can search the ticket system for the index (or the table or columns indexed), with a little luck i could stress the ticket system to an early death.
Any thoughts on this?
