Column names from a synonym

Hi,

has anyone experience in using a synonym with Apex ?
The synonym connects a table from another database. The connection itsself works well, but the columns of the connected table are not shown in a wizard I used. Unfortunatly there is no possibilty to type the column names.

Can anyone help ?
