coloring buttons

Hi all
first I have oracle developer 6i works properly
I tried to change the colors of text items,cavases, and windows background and all worked properly using the property pallete background color property.
but when I tried to change the color of the push buttons it did not work and the button color still the same as default color
could any one help me in changing the color of the push button.
And else how to change the color of the alert buttons
