Collections, PHP & Oracle, ecommerce, shopping cart system, help needed, XE

Hi all,

am investigating PHP and Oracle for the use of an ecommerce application. What is the best way to set up a shopping cart system using PHP and Oracle?

- Can collections be used, if so, can someone provide a simple code snippet?
- If collections can't be used, how would one set this up?

I've browsed the internet and there're 10000+ examples for PHP and MYSQL, but not 1 shopping cart example with Oracle as backend.

Please share, am stuck and wondering if the PHP and Oracle package can do this?

In htmldb I used collections, it worked perfect. But in the PHP documentation the OCI collection functions seem to be broken. Or at least, I can't make anything out of it.

Knowing that collections act as containers similar to array's, maybe it can be done with array's. Still new to PHP, any help would be great.

Thank you in advance,

Pete
