collapsible column in an IR?

I'm using APEX 5.1.1. I have lot of columns in a interactive report. The requirement is to provide some columns(like text areas) as collapsible instead of hiding using IR column selector. The particular collapsible column should expand, when the user clicks on it. any ideas, thanks.
