Cognos Transformer

Has anyone used OLAP views with Cognos to achieve the same drill-up/down capabilities that comes natively to sa Discoverer? It seems that the views do not lend themselves to level-like reporting. When we do a report and select the level = <value> that the fetched records are inconsistent. I am not SUMming the records in the cube and the precompute is at 35%.
