A question specific to ASM usage for Oracle Cloud Databases:
On provisioning, a ratio of volume for ASM storage of ASM DATA disk and ASM RECO disk can be chosen,
which can be 80% versus 20%, but also other combos, changing if you want to supply more volume for backup for example.
But, after the provisioning, you can increase either DATA or RECO independently from each other - but only upwards.
My question is this : what is the purpose of this ratio, if afterwards you can ignore this completely by means of increasing either of them independently, and almost with certainty end up with a different ratio ?
