Close SYS_REFCURSOR

Hello,

I would like to ask if i MUST always close cursor (SYS_REFCURSOR). i mean if i am fetching data from opening cursor, so i must close it or it closed automatically when i have EXIT WHEN xxxxx%NOTFOUND?
