Client drive failure - CDM
807578Jul 15 2010 — edited Jul 23 2010We have SGD installed and running at several client sites with no issue, including using CDM with Windows servers. However one particular site has never worked successfully with CDM mapping .
We have a single SGD 4.5 setup on a Linux server, hostname "remote" and the application server is Windows 2003 R2 Standard. Their is no WINS server setup but we do use internal DNS and can quite happily ping from the Linux server to the Windows server by name and visa versa.
The SGD Enhancement Module for Windows 4.5 (matching version to SGD) is installed on the Windows server and back on SGD the Global Settings Client Drive Mapping is enabled and WINS not checked. There is no firewall or filtering of any kind between SGD and the Windows server.
I have worked through troubleshooting client drive mapping steps in the Administration guide and can see exactly the errors I receive in the Event Viewer and when switching Information on the Debug menu of the ttatdm - see below. It looks like a name resolution issue (again we dont use WINS and do not have it slected in SGD) but all anmes resolve at SGD and Windows Server. I have tried all steps to resolve to no avail. If anyone has any further troubleshooting steps or tests I can try please let me know. This must be pretty close to working.
