chroot jail - listing files only uid and gid number show not user name
807557Aug 9 2008 — edited Aug 16 2008hi, all
I created a chroot'ed environment in solaris 5.10 sparc, it's works ok but i have a problem when listing files, instead of displaying the owner's user and group name it displays the numerical id's (uid and gid). I already copy /etc/passwd, /etc/group, /etc/shadow to my chroot environment, but still have problem
How should I do with my chroot'ed environment in order to display user- and group-names?
do i miss something?
need for advice
i login as root in chroot :
root@w3 # chroot /chroot_path /bin/bash
root@w3 # ls -l
