Child Service Points Limit

Sundara Rajan Krishnamachariar-OracleMay 7 2025 — edited May 8 2025

Hello Product Team

One of our current client needs to set up Parent and Child Service Points, where the Child Service Points function similarly to site IDs. These Child SPs are used for streetlight accounts, with each light representing a distinct Service Point that must be published to the retailer. As a deregulated market, this client is required to publish these site IDs to retailers.

Currently, each streetlight Service Point is published individually and billed separately. However, client's customers have requested the ability to group these lights and instead publish only a grouped or "virtual" Service Point.

During our workshop today, an action item was raised to determine the maximum number of Child Service Points that can be associated with a single Parent SP. Client is looking to associate up to 10,000 Child SPs under one Parent.

My question is: What is the recommended or supported limit for the number of Child Service Points under a single Parent SP, especially from a performance standpoint in such scenarios?

If you need any further details, please feel free to reach out to me.

Thanks

Sundar
