checking if a job is already running on a RAC instance -Part II

Hi Again,

I have a 2 node RAC setup. I was testing for RAC failover and found an issue with executable jobs.

If I schedule an executable job and kill the RAC node when the job is still running. I find the orphaned job still running and Oracle have no knowledge of its running state. Now this job is scheduled to run again in 15 minutes or so and the 2nd node starts it up. So I end up with overlapping instances. Any ideas of how to deal with this?
