Checking arraylist size in Groovy?

Hello. I need to check wether an arraylist has values or not, in order to render a component. How do I do this? I've tried everything I can think of from:

#{not empty sessionScope.UserBean.securingAttrs}

to

#{ sessionScope.UserBean.securingAttrs.size != 0}

How do I do this?
