Java EE (Java Enterprise Edition) General Discussion

I have a jsp page on my site( lets say mysite.com) which has an Iframe being rendered from a different site ( different domain lets say xyz.com ). If the xyz.com site is down / or shows an page cannot be displayed because of their web server being down , then is there a way that I can find the status of the iframe on my page and redirect the user to a different page, if we get an error code on our site.
