check MRP status

Hi All
any view to query t know whether MRP is active or not
i need before i execute
ALTER DATABASE RECOVER MANAGED STANDBY DATABASE disconnect;
to be sure it is not active at the moment

i do it now by going to linux and issue
ps -eaf | grep mrp

any better way ?
