character limit in HTML Region

684605May 13 2009 — edited May 13 2009
Hi, I was trying to copy paste a huge amount of HTML into an html region source but apex does not accept it and throws a
Bad Request - Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. - Oracle-Application-Server-10g/10.1.3.1.0 Oracle-HTTP-Server Server at jax-dev Port 80

I tried cutting and pasting part by part, but it turned out to be a tedious exercise to determine the limit on the region source.
Can anyone help and let me know what the workaround is(other than multiple html regions) or how can I increase this limit. is it configurable?

I also tried to create a textarea with char counter and paster part of the text - threw up a "ORA-20001: Error page=28 item="P28_X" id="" ORA-01461: can bind a LONG value only for insert into a LONG column" hmmm ????@$#!$!@

cheers
