Our process currently to change both a user account and dblink password is to drop the link, change password on the remote database, then create the dblink on the source database. My question is, if we were to use the alter dblink change password option, would it lock the remote account if too many requests tried to access the remote database in the small time between changing the account's password and the dblink's password?
