Changing UMASK 022 to UMASK 027

Hi all,

If i would to change the value of my umask from the default 022 to 027,will that affect maintaing Oracle?each time there is alteration, the umask value is changed to 027,is it okey if we do not change it back to 022? other then permission will it do anything else?
