Changing udump, *dump directories in 10g

543249Jun 3 2008 — edited Nov 6 2010
Greetings folks,

I just (again) cleared dump directories of our 10g databases. Unfortunately, the dump directories for one db were configured to be on /root directory (/opt/oracle) on a Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10. Because of thet we are now running into trouble because the /root directory is kept small. Is it possible to change the user dump directories (adump, bdump, udump ...) without installing the whole db again? If yes, how? I would appreciate some comments on this.

Thank you very much

Jörn
