Changing the functionality when creating new NPD project

Hi, I have a question regarding the creation of a new NPD Project and they way it works. Basically one of the requirements is to replace the "Business Unit(s)" in the New Project pop up and be populated with a new data source.

The data source is to be defined but is it possible to modify the data source of the second textbox? Depending on the data source and the project type, a new template will be created for each project and option selected, and the questions that populate the project brief and determine the activity with the right P&L template, will be chosen.

Is this something possible? And if it is, how?
