Changing the format of a timestamp

GerardMcLJul 20 2009 — edited Jul 20 2009
Hello,

I have a third party application that runs a query similar to the below:
select to_timestamp('20090720 070000','yyyymmdd hh24miss') from dual;
I need the output to be a timestamp but I also need the month to be numeric and the '-' to be '/' and the time to be 24 hour. These are all required by the application (not mine).

Can I make
20-JUL-09 07.00.00 AM
into
20/07/09 07.00.00

Any help is always appreciated.
