Changing Hard disk space for /opt

807559Jun 22 2001 — edited Mar 5 2002
I have installed Sun8 on a pc with 4gig hdd. Only has
done a default install. I assume their must be enough hdd space left for installing the companion disk
(GNU Software) As well as installing Oracle.

1) Insatll Sun8 - default.
2) Start to install Companion Disk with GNU S/Ware.

Get error:
not enough space blocks in /opt

How does one knows how much space is left on a
hdd and in a spesific directory?? What happens during install? Are the programs been installed in /opt??

Does /opt be very large to hold temporary installation files?? How jmuch disk space I really needed for
Sun8 + Companion DIsk.
