Changing Color with CSS-Classes

KlaBaMar 5 2021 — edited Mar 5 2021

For the development of APEX applications, I use version 20.2 in the basic version (so no individual adjustments were made).
I use the standard template for the pages.
Now I would like to design certain elements individually, for example change the background color.
As a template for the color selection I want to use "Color and Status Modifiers for Universal Themes"

https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/apex_pm/r/ut/color-and-status-modifiers

Unfortunately, I can only achieve color changes with the colors described in the "Stateful Color Utilities" section.
This color selection is very limited and I would prefer to use the colors in the "General Color Utilities" section.
If I enter this for my page element in "CSS Classes", the color does not change.
What I have done wrong?
How can I change the colors?

Kindly regards

Klaus
