Change Screen Resolutiopn and keep after log out / restart

Hi,

Ive got a nvidia card, when I change the screen resolution to say 1280 x 1024 in NVIDIA X SERVER SETTINGS Application, i click apply then I click save to X configuration file and save it to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.nvidia file

It seems to change the file, however when i log out or restart it reverts to the default 800 x 600. IS there another file I need to change?
