Change hostname "unknown"

912438Jan 25 2012 — edited Jan 30 2012
Experts,

I wanted to change the "hostname" of my newly installed solaris 10, because default
setup was made as "unknown".

I searched around and followed these steps:
create file /etc/nodename
and put new hostname inside, save, restart
all seem fine.

verified with vi /etc/inet/hosts
and it already included my new hostname.

After next reboot I got this complains: (also login GUI appeared slowly):

then Grey screen, logon window, after correct login with this:

So I verified these files, if includes my new hostname, and it seems to be fine.

/etc/inet/hosts
/etc/nodename
/etc/hostname.e1000g0
/etc/hostname6.e1000g0
/etc/inet/ipnodes
/etc/inet/hosts

Please how can I fix it and setup new hostname properly?
Thanks in advance!
