change color in textbox of mandatory field

mjhamiltonDec 11 2008 — edited Dec 16 2008
I would like to change the color in the whitebox (don't know a better name for this space on the form) next to a field title. And only for mandatory items on a page. This could be a select list, a text area, or text field.

I have looked at several posts. I understand how to change the background color of the page item's label. But, that is not what I need.

I gave a look at the most recent post titled 'Text Field Color' led me to the website

provided by Paulo Vale. By the way, very nicely done Paulo.

However, when I followed those instructions for all 3 'display as' formats for a field, my form content disappeared and all that showed was my original banner at the top of the page.

So does anyone have an idea to share on how to change a page item's whitebox color?

Thanks,
Maggie
