Chainage calculation using Oracle spatial built-in functions?

BilalFeb 9 2018 — edited Feb 13 2018

Hi Everyone,

I am a newbie to Oracle Spatial.

I have a line representing the Cabling infrastructure route as shown in the Figure below. There are joint bays constructed roughly after every 900m on the route. Besides joint bays, the route there are a road, river, rail crossing etc, denoted as points on the route. All I need to achieve is the calculation of chainage of these points (Joint bays, crossings, etc) along the route.

Is it possible to achieve using SQL query using Spatial built-in functions?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Many Thanks and

Best Regards,

Bilal
