Catalog start with command in 9i

Hi Folks,

I have RMAN backup and archives and controlfile on oracle 9i. With these I can restore the database which is crashed. In 10g, we use catalog start with '<path>'; to make the backups known to controlfile. This command is not working in 9i.

Please post the equalant command in 9i which makes the RMAN backup path info known to current controlfile. Or please let me know if there is any other way to restore it.
